Dr Jacqueline Knight
Jacqui has a particular interest in leading projects that rethink current methods or approaches using co-design strategies. Projects for a variety of contexts include; a hospital arts and wellbeing programme, the co-design of clinical trials for interplanetary missions, the co-design of medical simulations, new curatorial strategies that bring artists and audiences together (LUX film archives and Kochi-Muziris Biennale) and curatorial and educational projects for various museum and art gallery settings.
From a film research background, she has a portfolio of experience in VR, simulation and imaging technologies which is both practical and embedded in real-world environments and takes a critical approach to their appropriate application.
Recent projects include the application of VR to the field of forensics and lead researcher for a collaborative project between Digital Horizons at Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust and Transtechnology Research that aims to develop alternative and holistic approaches to medical care by reviewing the tools, methodologies and approaches for teaching and training.
